Zembel was an e-commerce platform with headquarters in Shanghai China, serving the Korean and American markets.

During my time at Zembel my main tasks were to localize the platform to the American market, by using the design system already created for the Korean version. For this, I ran a competitor analysis for the main e-commerce platforms in the U.S., and researched the user behavior of this market. I proposed a series of wireframes and high-level mockups to showcase the adapted journey and interface. As a result, I was able to design a smooth user journey from landing page/search to checkout stage with a fresh UI, yet keeping the look-and-feel of the Korean version of the platform, maintaining its identity.
